L. Weicek lives in a nursing home near Cracow, Poland. He is in his 90's. He has painted all his life. He can neither walk nor talk. His paintings reflect his deep religious beliefs. Weicek is a totally self-taught artist, and he cannot understand why anyone would want to buy his paintings. His work has been shown in galleries and museums all over Poland, where he is considered a foremost folk artist of his country.
