Jacques Valmidor was born in Port-au-Prince July1, 1955. He began painting in 1963, and first began exhibiting internationally in the late 1980's. He exhibited in Mexico, Jamaica, Italy, the US, and in Paris in 1990.
Valmidor quickly attracted attention for his imaginitive compositions and strikingly effective use of colors. His intricately crafted paintings reflect a highly original and appealing style.
