Inspired by the meditative peace and spectacular beauty of her Hawaiian homeland, Lynden Tripp suffuses her radiant imagery with a love of nature and mastery of design.
Lynden attended the Honolulu Academy of Art, and went on to receive an art degree at Maui Community College before moving to California, where she earned a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts. She remained in northern California, where she finds subject matter at every turn. She haunts farmers markets and antique stores, as well as her own garden, discovering "an endless supply of beauty - both natural and manmade - to be glorified through painting."
The combination of radiant colors and meticulously crafted compositions in Ms. Tripps paintings creates a delight for the eye. We invite you to savor a pastiche of blooming camellias, trailing jasmine, climbing bougainvillea, vivid pottery and vibrant fabrics in our collection of her work.
We at The Electric Gallery are greatly impressed by Ms. Tripp's mastery of her technique and subject matter, and by her effective use of strong color. Select the portrait of the artist above to go directly to her paintings. Or, you can take a walking tour through the Perspectives Wing, or you can take a shortcut to see all the artists in our gallery. These paintings are available for purchase from The Electric Gallery.
