THE ELECTRIC GALLERY

Paintings by Suk Shuglie

Suk Shuglie, of Korean origin, is a master of her technique of using strong, bold colors - colors which may normally be considered incompatible - to create still lives, abstracts, and landscapes which redefine these genres. Any one of her paintings automatically becomes the focal point of a room of any size. Please see our new collection of her work.

Suk has studied her art in Paris, Ireland, Rome, and Madrid, and is a Fine Arts graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Arts and Design. Her honors and exhibits run to five pages, and are available on request. These include over twenty first or second place and "Best of Show" awards throughout the East Coast, and eleven one woman exhibitions in the past ten years. Ms. Shuglie has painted most of her life, and painting is her life's pursuit. Her acrylics, which she describes as a form of "impressionistic expressionism," suggest particular, intimate details as well as universal features. She uses fantastic colors to create impressions of warmth, vitality, and spaciousness. Her originals are in the permanent collections of many corporations and private collectors in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

We at The Electric Gallery are greatly impressed by Ms. Shuglie's mastery of her technique and subject matter, and particularly by her incredibly effective use of strong color. We believe her paintings are masterworks of a unique type. Please browse through all the rooms of the Perspectives Wing, and tell us what you think.
