David Martin's career has been shaped by natural growth, professional study, an successful experience in the art community. Today, this young artist finds himself at the threshold of true artistic actualization.
A natural, David began drawing at a very early age. By the age of 17, he was selling his paintings and his early work helped earn him a scholarship to the Ringling School of Art and Design. Constantly changing directions, David studied fine arts photography, then illustration, and participated in an exchange program with The School of Visual Arts in New York. He ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and a Certificate in Photography. It is the realms of painting, drawing, and sculpting which he finds most compelling.
"I have become convinced that an eclectic approach, combining a variety of seemingly incompatible styles and media, makes for true invention and discovery."
David Martin's collectors include Terry Taylor Yacht, Ft. Lauderdale, Best of Ringling, Sarasota, and ABC Studios, and have been exhibited at ArtExpo New York.
