Paintings by Lenore Hotchkiss

Lenore Hotchkiss lives and works at Twin Rock, a mountain of enormous rock formations, canyons, and forests, abundant in wildlife and a constant inspiration. Her background includes graphic design, photography, training and development, and magazine publishing.

Her work is in private and corporate collections throughout Colorado, New York, California, and Germany. She paints in both acrylics and watercolors, and does nature photography. The watercolors exhibited here are based on Lenore's interpretation of the plants she sees every day. An avid hiker, she looks for new plants to paint and for unusual designs and colors on the trails of the Rocky Mountains.

A self-taught artist, Lenore has been creating art since she was a child. She is a volunteer naturalist at a Colorado State Park, where she leads groups into the back country and provides interpretive training in wildlife and botany. A lifelong love of nature is reflected in her paintings. "When I'm not out hiking and photographing nature, I'm in the studio painting it - nature is a wonderful source of designs and inspiration."
