Alexa Kelemen was born in Cungrea, Romania. She graduated with highest honor from The Institute of Art of Constanta, Romania in 1965. She continued her studies, completing degrees at the School of Popular Art in 1989, again with honors.
Kelemen is an established artist in Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria where she has participated in many exhibitions and won many awards. Collectors of her work include Olympic stars Daniella Sivalas and Nadia Cominici, CNN Atlanta, Coca Cola Corporation, Atlantic Steel, Smith Barney, NY, Bell South, Phillips Amsterdam, and ABC Studios. Kelemen now lives in the United States with her husband and son.
