Paintings by Babak Emanuel

Important Notice - as of December, 1999 we are no longer able to take domestic orders for Babak Emanuel's work, due to exclusive marketing arrangements adopted by Deljou Art Group. These constraints do not apply to the other artists in this wing - their art continues to be available from us. We apologize to our clients for this unfortunate situation.

The artist is strongly influenced by music - his paintings are melodies in texture, brilliant in color, exciting in composition. They are an extension of music into art, and the human form transposed to music. Music to art, art to human expression, human expression to the rhythm of life. The play of sound, the yin and yang of color and motion illustrate his life as well as his art. His art, blending the modern with the antique, reflects an age of quality of meaning, and a quality of image.

These qualities were instilled in his native Shiraz, the famed valley of poets and philosophers, where he was born in 1966. They were fostered at the Atlanta Institute of Art, with extensive studies in painting and photography. The marriage of the disciplines of photography with the controlled freedom of painting are revealed in his use of perspective, shadow, and light - the play of light creating the infinity of perspective with each section of the canvas, leading the eye from point to point.

Also accomplished as a serigrapher, he applies these skills in his painting style, reflecting his thoughts, soul, and dreams - a style uniquely Babak. His works appear in galleries and private collections worldwide.

You can take a walking tour through the Monotype Collection Wing, or you can take a shortcut to go directly to the work of any artist in our gallery. These paintings are available for purchase from The Electric Gallery. We'd also appreciate your giving us your comments on our presentation.
