THE ELECTRIC GALLERY

The Amazon Project

We have received many questions about the Usko-Ayar School, so we want to explain the origins of this project.

Some Background: We first saw many of these marvelous young artists in 1994 at an exhibition at the Children's Museum in downtown Washington, DC. We were absolutely amazed at the quality of the work these kids produced, and by the sensitivity they demonstrated through their work for the global environment. We spent the better part of a year tracking them down via the Peruvian Embassy, etc. We finally connected with the school and its founder, the Peruvian shaman Pablo Cesar Amaringo, with the results you see here in The Electric Gallery. We are more proud to represent these kids than we are any of our other artists - they are doing the world a great service - if only it knew!

Each painting we sell for the school represents money for the students and their hopes for preserving their world and personal environment, which we all should cherish as well!
